Hate Monger judges Miss America

One must question the wisdom of those running the Miss America pageant. All they would have to do is look at his blog to see what kind of person he is.

NEW YORK, April 21 (UPI) — Miss California Carrie Prejean says she doesn’t regret saying in the interview portion of the Miss USA pageant that marriage should be between a man and woman.

Some have speculated her response to a question about the legalization of same-sex marriage cost the San Diego Christian College junior the Miss USA crown.

“I said what my opinion was, and I think everyone’s entitled to their own,” Prejean told TV’s “Inside Edition.”

Prejean’s mother, Fran Coppola, said on the program, ” I knew when that question came up, she’d have no chance of winning.”

Openly gay gossip columnist and Miss USA judge, Perez Hilton, subsequently posted a scathing critique of Prejean on his Web site.

“He called me a ‘dumb b.’ I think he’s a little confused right now, and my prayers go out to him,” Prejean said on “Inside Edition.

Why the attack on Miss California? Perez Hilton is the perfect example of why so many people are anti-gay. He is a hypocrite and gives the gay rights movement a bad name. He has done significant damage to the image of the gay people. I have no bias against the gay rights movement, but when he starts imposing his agenda on the straight community, he’s gone too far. This is a great example of a double standard. People who are gay insist that they only want to be able to live their lives without prejudice, which I happen to agree with. But Hilton apparently does not feel the same way about the straight community. He has vilified the entire straight community and owes them at least an apology for arrogantly espousing that anyone who is straight and honest about it is somehow unworthy of our respect. Hilton is the disrespectful one here.
